30 East Drive, located in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, England, is widely regarded as one of the most haunted houses in the UK. It is best known for its association with the so-called “Black Monk of Pontefract,” a malevolent poltergeist believed to have terrorized the Pritchard family in the late 1960s. The house has since become a popular destination for ghost hunters and paranormal enthusiasts.

1. The Black Monk Legend:

The poltergeist is rumored to be the spirit of a 16th-century monk who was executed for heinous crimes, including murder and abuse. He is said to haunt the property due to its proximity to the site of his death.

2. The Pritchard Family:

In 1966, the Pritchards moved into 30 East Drive. Shortly after, they experienced strange phenomena, including items being thrown, pools of water appearing, objects levitating, and disturbing sightings of a hooded black figure.

3. Paranormal Activity

• Sudden temperature drops.
